I finished writing my book. Now what?

On Sunday, January 22nd, I finished writing my novel!!
I cannot express in words how excited I am, yet I am also a bit sad. Does that make sense? I was sitting at my desk and once I had written the last sentence, I slumped back in my chair. I felt empty. I thought to myself, now what? People that I had been with for 61,000+ words were just gone. They felt so completely and utterly distant, whilst I felt so alone. They were so real to me. Some I truly wish I could pull up from the pages and have for my best friend.
On the one hand I do have a little more time to read now...

Normally when I finish writing something, my mind is already racing for what the next book is going to be about. That wasn't the case for Beyond the Veil. Though I am done writing the story, I am far from finished. The "now what" question in my mind did not remain a question for long. Now, it's time for editing. I will be sending the finished manuscript off to be edited within the next few days. My Account Manager actually got in touch with me yesterday!!

I have already begun reading my own work to edit it myself before I send it off. I have a lot of grammatical errors, but I'm honestly very pleased with the story. I'm still unsure who I'm going to get published through (assuming I self-publish - I haven't fully decided yet...). However, once that is decided, I'll definitely let you guys know!!
In the meantime, I hope you guys are excited. If there's anything you want to know about my novel, Beyond the Veil, please let me know!! I'll answer your questions as best as I am able. Thanks for always reading. ;)

Yours truly,
Me
